The MataCare Emergency Grant exists to help students with an unexpected current emergency situation pay for expenses of an educational or personal nature. Qualified students are provided with assistance in the form of single, one-time awards.
Since 2020, we have seen how the COVID-19 pandemic has crossed all borders and changed everyday life, impacting in some cases our health and in many cases our financial wellbeing. The MataCare Emergency Grant exists to support students impacted by unforeseen circumstances, with the intention to provide the extra bit of financial support that will make it possible for them to stay in class and continue on the path toward a degree.
Now, more than ever, our students are facing immediate challenges such as food insecurity, emergency housing, access to technology, unemployment or reduction in work hours.
