The University Student Union (USU) at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is a student-centered nonprofit organization that expands the Matador experience through its programs, services, employment, and involvement opportunities.
Since 1973, the organization has initiated programs that data and students indicate support collegians in obtaining their academic degrees. As a co-curricular partner, the USU contributes to student success by being one of CSUN’s largest on-campus employers that brings emerging and mainstream events, thought-provoking speakers, and learning experiences to students.
Matching its programming are facilities that house food options, study areas, a TV lounge and a 130-station computer lab with free printing. Its expansion and renovation efforts have brought to the campus a Student Recreation Center, Pride Center, Veteran’s Resource Center, Oasis Wellness Center, and incorporated the DREAM Center into its cache of services.
