We, the Fraternity & Sorority Life community at CSUN are committed to advancing student success by creating opportunities for connectedness (brotherhood, sisterhood, siblinghood), scholastic achievement, leadership development, and philanthropic service. With more than 50 fraternal organizations that stem from social, multicultural and affinity-based chapters, we seek to cultivate and sustain an inclusive and welcoming campus. We strive for academic and personal excellence by supporting environments that educate and empower everyone in our community to seek solutions and build bridges. We believe in the value of fraternal association and seek to inspire and mold today’s students into tomorrow’s professionals.
Donations to the following Greek organizations will help provide continued resources and engagement to members as they build their relationships at CSUN and throughout their fraternities and sororities.
National Pan Hellenic Council
The National Pan Hellenic Council is the governing council for the 9 Historic Black Greek Letter Organizations also known as the Divine 9. Every organization in the council is based on scholarship and community service. We also express ourselves and showcase our history through stepping and strolling.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. is the first intercollegiate Greek letter organization for Black men, Founded on December 4th, 1906. Our motto is “First of all, Servants of all, We shall transcend all.” Some of our notable members include Martin Luther King Jr., Thurgood Marshall, W.E.B. Dubois and many more distinguished men.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Omega Kappa Chapter
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded in 1920 by five women who sought to establish an organization that embraces scholarship, provides meaningful service, sets a standard for Sisterhood, and strives to exemplify finer womanhood. Zeta is a community conscious, action-oriented organization committed to uplifting the community through membership comprised of college-educated women.
With funding, our chapter will be able to host better events that engage the student body and motivate their scholastic journey, and our members will be able to attend leadership conferences. Funding will also allow us to organize and execute community service events.
Alpha Phi Sorority, Inc.
Alpha Phi is a sorority at CSUN that offers a unique bond of sisterhood, a spirit of generosity, high expectations for character and a drive for innovation and female leadership. With approximately 80 members, Alpha Phi continues to create a strong community where women can lift each other up and lend a helping hand to one another and the community around them.
What unites all members of Alpha Phi is the common goal of our philanthropy, namely spreading awareness and raising money for women’s heart health through the Alpha Phi Foundation. The additional funding kindly donated towards Alpha Phi from CSUN’s 2023 Giving Day donors will be put toward sustaining numerous community outreach efforts and events that ultimately provide us with a platform to promote and encourage donations toward our philanthropy.
