General Operating Support

Bringing in artists from across the world requires great resources and we rely on philanthropic support to present these experiences to our community members. We are pursuing a strong vision for the future of our programs, as well as the arts in the vast Los Angeles region. First, to bolster the Los Angeles jazz scene that has been impacted by the pandemic, an increasing portion of our calendar is committed to presenting jazz, including an ambitious festival, Jazz at Naz, which launched successfully in 2021. Second, Spanish language audiences who look to The Soraya as home are hungry to rebuild their community, post-pandemic, and we will continue our long-time commitment to innovating and leading in this field. Third, our Classical Series showcases our superior acoustic environment — our stage and auditorium were designed to present the powerful and nuanced sounds of unamplified classical music, emanating directly from the voices and instruments of some of the most highly trained musicians in the world. Your support for our series will make a long-term impact as artists from beloved genres continue to do breathtaking work. You can also show your love for an artist or genre by underwriting a single performance, supporting new and original works from artists in Los Angeles and across the globe.
