Support Our Student Veterans on Giving Day

Transitioning from military service to academic life is a profound journey, often filled with unique challenges. Many veterans find it difficult to connect with classmates who may not fully understand their military experiences while balancing rigorous coursework. Family responsibilities and adjusting to civilian life can add to their stress.

At CSUN, we are dedicated to helping every student thrive. The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) provides essential support to help veterans achieve their academic goals. From professional and academic counseling to mental health services, emergency financial aid, and connections to vital resources, the VRC ensures that student veterans and their families have the tools they need to succeed.

A Lifeline for Academic Success

Life after military service brings new challenges, and for many veterans, financial hardship can make the transition to academic life even more difficult. Unexpected expenses — such as rent, transportation, food or school supplies — can threaten a veteran’s ability to stay in school and focus on their studies. The VRC helps alleviate this burden through emergency financial assistance, enabling student veterans to remain enrolled and thrive academically.

Scholarships also play a pivotal role in empowering student veterans. While the GI Bill provides vital support, it does not always cover all educational expenses, leaving gaps that make it hard to stay focused on academics. A scholarship can be the difference between a student struggling to make ends meet and one who can fully embrace their education.

Why Your Support Matters

Veterans have already given so much in service to our country. Now, it's our turn to serve them. When you donate to the VRC, you provide critical funding for:

Emergency financial assistance for unforeseen needs like housing, food or transportation.

Scholarships to ease financial strain and allow veterans to focus on their studies.

Programs and services that support their academic, personal and professional growth.

Imagine the impact of your gift: A veteran no longer worries about paying for textbooks. A parent who served finds stability and can focus on both family and coursework. A student completes their degree and begins a fulfilling career — all because of your generosity.

With your support, the VRC will continue to be a cornerstone of success for CSUN’s student veterans, ensuring they receive the help they need to excel in their education and beyond. Your donation directly impacts their ability to overcome barriers and achieve their dreams.

Donate now to make a difference. Every dollar counts and every gift is a step toward empowering our veterans to succeed.
