About two-thirds of CSUN’s undergraduate students are first-generation college students and more than half are Pell Grant eligible, which means they come from families whose annual income is at or near the federal poverty line of $20,000 for a family of four. The financial relief of a scholarship allows students to fully focus on their studies and to participate in the variety of programming and activities that enrich their education.
