Health Equity Research and Education HERE Center

Science and Community to Fight Diseases

The HERE Center works on many health issues that affect our local communities.

This CSUN Giving Day, we are highlighting one of our most urgent and active areas of work: Type 2 diabetes.

Why Type 2 Diabetes matters

  • Type 2 diabetes is common and often poorly managed.
  • Many people face barriers to early care and long-term support.

This Giving Day, your gift supports two priorities:

1. Advance Research on Type 2 Diabetes

We are developing new, scalable prevention programs that:

  • Combine technology and human support
  • Use personalized data and adaptive tools
  • Include real human mentoring at the right time
  • Help people stay motivated and manage risk early, before serious complications begin.

2. Support Students in Health Research

Your donation provides financial support for student researchers at the HERE Center, allowing them to:

  • Continue learning and training
  • Participate in meaningful research
  • Contribute to projects that directly benefit our community

Donate today to help create better prevention tools and strengthen the future health workforce serving our community.
