88.5 FM-The SoCal Sound is a member-supported public radio station and an entity of California State University, Northridge, proudly broadcasting from the CSUN campus.

The SoCal Sound offers a distinctive format centered on music discovery—featuring deep cuts from established artists while prioritizing music from emerging, diverse, and local voices.  Programming is hosted by knowledgeable, celebrity DJs including Matt Pinfield, Nic Harcourt and Julie Slater. 

The SoCal Sound is “community amplified” serving listeners, members, students, artists, the CSUN community, and sponsors throughout a broadcast coverage area of Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties, as well as worldwide through streaming.

Public support is essential to sustaining this vital community service. Thank you for leading the way.
