We transform trauma and violence into empowerment, advance systemic healing, and develop leaders for lasting change by supporting our community's most vulnerable members at critical moments in their lives.
Our groundbreaking multidisciplinary approach serves thousands of children and adults annually, completely free of charge. We provide 24/7 confidential support and help survivors navigate the often-confusing maze of jurisdictions, departments, and service providers. StrengthUnited brings together law enforcement, medical professionals, counselors, legal advocates, and other essential partners under one roof, creating an experience centered on survivor needs rather than an often-hostile system.
As a chartered center within California State University Northridge, we're uniquely positioned to shape the next generation of community leaders. Nearly 200 CSUN undergraduate and graduate students gain critical field experience with us each year, shadowing experts in mental health, social services, child development, and law enforcement while receiving intensive trauma-informed care training. These future professionals do not just observe, they provide direct services to our clients under expert supervision.
