Men's Basketball

CSUN Men’s Basketball continues to elevate its program, driven by strong recruiting, player development, and a commitment to excellence on and off the court. Under Head Coach Andy Newman, the Matadors have added impactful talent through recent recruiting classes and transfers, strengthening the roster and positioning the program for sustained success. The team’s efforts led to a historic 2024–25 season, including a program-tying 22 wins and the first-ever NIT appearance.

To build on that momentum, investment in recruitment and retention is critical. Giving Day gifts will go directly toward helping CSUN attract and retain top student-athletes who can compete at the highest level and represent the university with pride.

This year, your gift to CSUN Men’s Basketball will go twice as far thanks to a special $150,000 match challenge from Paul and Jill Drecksel. Every dollar donated will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, making this a powerful opportunity to double your impact.

Every dollar raised will directly support:

  • Recruitment and retention

Join us on Giving Day to support CSUN Men’s Basketball as we build a championship-caliber program grounded in talent, culture, and long-term success.
