Documentary Production Fund

In the Documentary Production pathway within the Department of Cinema and Television Arts, students engage deeply with their community by researching, connecting with, and documenting real-life stories.

Living at the intersection of film and journalism, our program focuses on cinematic, creative, non-fiction storytelling. Students learn to reach outside of their comfort zone and commit to subjects that express their ideas and concerns. Though our program is young, our recent student work has been recognized as finalists for the Student Academy Awards and the PBS Fine Cut Festival of Films, and capstone films have screened around the country in festivals, as well as in our annual off-campus Showcase.

Donations to the program will give a significant boost to our students through direct funding of projects, equipment purchases for our growing program, and efforts to get our student work seen at film festivals across the nation and around the world.
