Television Production – Narrative Scripted Pathway

Unlock the future of entertainment. Students will immerse themselves in the heartbeat of the 21st century’s dominant art form by majoring in the Television Production—Scripted Narrative Pathway at California State University, Northridge. In an age where television reigns supreme as the ultimate form of artistic expression, the Television Production program offers an unrivaled opportunity to dive headfirst into the dynamic realm of "Peak TV." Our students embark on a transformative journey, honing their craft in the footsteps of legendary shows like Breaking Bad, Stranger ThingsAtlantaThe BearSquid Game, Game of Thrones, and Narcos.

Our program is designed to empower students with a comprehensive skill set that spans every facet of television production. From crafting compelling narratives to orchestrating breathtaking visual experiences, they will seize the reins of writing, producing, directing, editing, and technical wizardry. Students will immerse themselves in the very essence of the industry, mastering the art and science of breathing life into captivating stories that will leave audiences spellbound with cutting-edge technology in our state-of-the-art facilities.

But our program offers more than just technical prowess. It fosters an environment of collaboration, encouraging students to work alongside fellow visionaries, storytellers, and creators. Together, students will push boundaries, challenge conventions, and redefine the future of television.
