The Student Recreation Center (SRC) at California State University, Northridge is more than a fitness facility — it’s a vital space where Matadors build healthy habits, find community, and recharge both body and mind. Located within the University Student Union, the SRC plays a central role in supporting student wellbeing and campus life.
With more than 138,000 square feet of modern, sustainable facilities, the SRC offers something for everyone: fitness and strength training areas, group exercise studios, an indoor track, courts, a rock wall, turf field, aquatics, and more. Through free group fitness classes, intramural sports, open recreation, and wellness programming, the SRC encourages movement, connection, and balance for students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Support for the SRC helps maintain and enhance these programs and spaces while expanding access and innovation. Gifts fund equipment upgrades, inclusive programming, and initiatives that promote physical and mental wellbeing — all of which contribute to student engagement, retention, and academic success.
When you give to the SRC, you’re investing in a healthier, more connected CSUN community. Your support ensures the SRC remains a welcoming, energizing place where Matadors can thrive — today and for years to come.
