Today’s college students graduate with nearly $40,000 in student loans, a significant increase from previous graduates. The skilled job market requires education beyond high school, and so incoming students are often faced with a tough decision. Many times, the determining factor of choosing a school is affordability based on financial aid packages.
About two-thirds of CSUN’s undergraduate students are first-generation college students and more than half are Pell Grant eligible, which means they come from families whose annual income is at or near the federal poverty line of $20,000 for a family of four. The financial relief of a scholarship allows students to fully focus on their studies and to engage and participate in the variety of programming and activities offered to students that enrich their education.
Your support of student scholarships not only ensures the future excellence of CSUN by attracting the most talented students, but also is an endorsement of the student's potential for success. Your gift today enables a student’s future.
