Center of Achievement

Hope is one byproduct of the Center of Achievement, which houses the Brown Center for Adaptive Aquatic Therapeutic Exercise. The world-renowned Center of Achievement has been providing hope to individuals with disabilities and limited mobility and enhancing their quality of life for more than 50 years. Through land- and aquatic-based rehabilitation exercise programs, CSUN graduate students work with clients on personalized therapies that improve the clients’ strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance.

The Center of Achievement employs graduate students each semester, providing future professionals in rehabilitation with the highest quality educational and training experience. Students improve their clinical abilities to assess, design, and implement therapeutic exercise programs by working with nearly 450 clients annually.

The center is committed to providing evidence-based interventions and extending scientific knowledge to a larger community through clinical research. The unique combination of academic programs and service-learning opportunities, including the adapted therapeutic land exercise program and aquatic therapeutic exercise programs, contributes to making the Center of Achievement one of the most successful programs in the nation.

The center provides life-changing adaptative therapies to someone in need. Your gift enables the center to reach more people by expanding operating hours and offering more programs to the community. Workstation upgrades are needed for data input and program card development in a secured network system.  Gifts also allow the center to purchase new equipment and provide important technology upgrades to stay on the cutting edge of research.  Your gift can make a difference today.
