The Marine Biology Program within the Biology Department gives students classroom and hands-on training in marine biology, providing students with skills and learning opportunities that are difficult to obtain elsewhere. Our undergraduate students are exposed to the latest concepts in marine biology, and our field studies classes give them the opportunity to connect to and comprehend these concepts with hands-on learning at various marine sites in Southern California as part of their course work. These field studies create unrivalled and memorable opportunities for learning. Our students go on to complete M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at top universities around the world.
