StrengthUnited

StrengthUnited has served the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys for more than 30 years. We are transforming trauma and violence into empowerment, advancing systemic healing, and developing leaders for lasting change by supporting the most vulnerable members of our community at critical moments in their lives, and by providing hope, leadership, and resources in our community to address violence and abuse at the root.

Through a groundbreaking multidisciplinary approach, StrengthUnited serves thousands of children and adults annually, free of charge. We provide 24/7 confidential support and response, and help survivors of violence and abuse navigate the often-confusing array of different jurisdictions, departments, and service providers. StrengthUnited brings service partners including law enforcement, medical professionals, counselors, legal aid, and more, together in one location, creating an experience that favors the needs of the survivor, rather than an often-hostile system. We need your support to help the children, adults, and families we serve live abuse-free lives.

CSUN’s students and faculty are an integral part of StrengthUnited. Each year, almost 200 undergraduate and graduate CSUN students shadow experts in the fields of mental health, social service, child development and law enforcement. They get critical field experience and training in providing trauma-informed care. Your gift allows these students to provide services to StrengthUnited’s clients and helps us develop the experts and community leaders who will provide these essential, life-changing services in the future.
