Deaf Studies
The Department of Deaf Studies is among the oldest and the largest undergraduate degree program of its kind in the world. Our graduates go on to pursue advanced degrees and careers in many different fields, including but not limited to education, social work, linguistics, psychology, counseling, and interpreting. Your support will make it possible for us to continue to build on the following:
- Furthering connections between the CSUN campus community and the Deaf community through workshops, presentations, and various events.
- Providing more opportunities for our students to develop their ASL skills through community engagement.
- Deepening our students’ research and presentation opportunities.
- Fostering a sense of community and belonging in our students.
