The philosophy department at CSUN has an excellent, well-trained faculty that is dedicated to nurturing the inner philosopher in each undergraduate. Through their studies, CSUN philosophy students are encouraged to explore their own philosophical views while developing creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Gifts to the department of philosophy can help provide funding for experiences and events like the Annual CSUN Philosophy Conference, which provides opportunities for philosophy students to present their work in a professional setting.
When 25 people donate to the department of philosophy during Giving Day on March 6-7, Sid Luckenbach, generous CSUN supporter and alumnus, will contribute $10,000 to the Sidney A. Luckenbach Memorial Endowment, which provides scholarship funds to students with interest in studying philosophy.
